Irving Shipbuilding Inc specializes in small, complex vessels:

Offshore Supply Vessels

ISI has built four harsh environment Anchor Handling Tugs/Supply vessels (AHTS), which have operated in the North Sea, the Gulf Of Mexico and the Canadian Atlantic regions.

These vessels demonstrate ISI's ability to tackle technologically sophisticated, state-of-the-art construction projects.

Ship Assist & Escort Azimuth Stern Drive (ASD) Tugs

ISI offers an optimized design of ASD tug, with 4,000-5,000 hp (giving 50-65 tonnes bollard pull respectively). Originally designed by the renowned naval architect, Robert Allan, ISI has refined the design based upon input from customers.

Based on a common hull design, the tugs can be outfitted with a range of propulsion machinery, deck machinery and other options.

With twenty of these vessels delivered or on order, they represent one of the most successful ASD designs on the market today. Vessels are built either to order or are offered for sale during the construction phase, so delivery times can match your requirements.

Build Methodologies

Our build methodologies focus on doing as much undercover construction, outfitting and painting as possible. This not only enhances the health, safety and environmental aspects of the job, but assures the quality of your vessel. From our background in naval work, we have developed a philosophy of early and progressive system completion which not only speeds the commissioning phase, but also provides the customer with an extremely reliable product.

Financing

Qualified customers are eligible for financing through EDC and Industry Canada's Structured Financing Facility (SFF).
