ISI has a proven track record in major offshore projects. ISI has a large, skilled labour supply, excellent quayside facilities, fabrication shops and laydown areas dedicated to offshore work. Located adjacent to an extensive array of offshore industry specialty subcontractors, we can provide a fast and total response to customer requirements.

Our focus is in two main areas:

Topsides

ISI’s facilities are ideally suited to topsides modules up to approximately 3,500 tonnes, although larger modules can be accommodated. We have developed facilities and work practices specifically suited to the construction of offshore topsides. These facilities include a load-out capability.

Projects undertaken include

• South Venture topsides construction and commissioning (2,400 tonnes)
• White Rose topsides modules M15, M17, M18

Rig Conversions & Upgrades

With an ever increasing amount of exploration work in deeper water and harsher environments, the need to provide expertise in meeting the regulatory requirements for such operating conditions has never been so great.

ISI’s experienced project teams can provide a fast, safe and high quality upgrade or conversion to allow your rig to work in the most challenging offshore environments.

Examples of rig upgrades and conversions include:

• Upgrade of the Grand Banks
• Winterization and completion of the world's largest semi-submersible, the Eirik Raude

Financing

Qualified customers are eligible for financing through EDC and Industry Canada's Structured Financing Facility (SFF).
